Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

GammonAI is developed and operated jointly by LogicalInnovation, based in the United States, and InfinitePercentage, based in Portugal. The companies are members of the same corporate group. In this policy, “GammonAI,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to these companies as the developers and operators of the App.

2. Information we collect

Account information

If you sign in, we process the username and password you submit and may store your name, email address, username, login status, and an authentication token on your device. Your password is transmitted to our authentication service for login and is not stored in the App’s local preferences.

Game and analysis data

We process backgammon positions, match settings, move selections, and rollout parameters that you enter or import. When you request an online evaluation or rollout, the relevant position and settings are sent to our analysis service. Saved positions, settings, strength preferences, and imported match information may be stored locally on your device.

Photos and files

With your permission, the App can access your camera or a photo/file you select to import a backgammon position or match. Access occurs only when you initiate that feature. Camera images are analyzed to recognize the board and are not used for advertising. The App also lets you export or share content when you choose to do so.

Technical information

When the App communicates with our servers, standard network information such as IP address, request time, device or client information, and service logs may be processed for security, reliability, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.

Website information

This static website does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider may process ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, and requested pages, to deliver and secure the site.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide authentication, position evaluation, rollouts, match review, and other requested features;
• save your preferences and maintain your session;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App and our services;
• respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
• comply with applicable law and protect our users, services, and rights.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.

4. Permissions used by the Android App

• Camera: to photograph a backgammon board when you choose the camera import feature.
• Photos, media, or files: to open a board image or match file that you select. On older Android versions this may appear as storage access.
• Internet: to sign in and use online analysis or rollout services.

You can deny or revoke optional permissions in Android settings. The related feature may then be unavailable, but other parts of the App can continue to function.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may share information between LogicalInnovation and InfinitePercentage where necessary to operate and support GammonAI. We may also disclose limited information to infrastructure, hosting, authentication, and technical service providers that process it on our behalf and under appropriate safeguards.

We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.

6. International data transfers

Because our development group operates in the United States and Portugal and may use providers in other countries, information may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and records, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and why it is processed.

You can clear locally stored App data by signing out, clearing the App’s storage in device settings, or uninstalling the App. To request deletion of your account or associated server-side personal information, email jp@infinitepercentage.com with the subject “GammonAI account deletion request.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and may retain information where legally permitted or required.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No system or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s privacy

GammonAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate. Where local law sets a higher minimum age for consent to online services, that higher age applies.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to receive a portable copy, or to withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to a local data protection authority. To exercise a right, contact us using the email below.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate channel.
